Is there a way to create a keyword set as a preset that can be use over and over again in new catalogs without having to create them from scratch?

Look into the vocabulary editor feature. The other way is to load a dummy image with keywords and import it, then remove it.
Also, think twice before creating too many catalogues. Often all that achieves is to fragment control of your picture collection.

Thanks.
I am considering having just one Catalog per year for my weddings, but I am concerned that it would become to complicated. One major concern is on catalog sets. I was hoping to use them to send over to C1 the images the client selected for the album. But if I understood correctly the tutorials, C! not only create an album for the Catalog set in question but for all the other catalog sets in the Media pro Catalog. Am I correct?
