I have for some time now been quite displeased with the limited/non-existing range of focusing-screens for Nikon's pro-DSLR's,
and I like to think that I'm not alone with this issue...
I work a lot with the PC-E lenses, often in poor light conditions, and when I do,
I miss my F3HP with its unsurpassable microprism H-screen more than anything.
I am positive that there is a reasonable demand out there for Nikon to start making alternative focusing screens again.
If someone agrees - could we maybe start some kind of sign-up campaign to convince Nikon of our need?
Let me be +2 on your list. I'll settle for a split-image, with or without (preferrably without) a surrounding microprism! I have it on my F3 but the D200 and D700 offer nothing comparable. I use mostly manual optics, and looking for a little light to light is a real distraction and pain in the ass! And no, I do not want autofocus lenses.
