Please help re: the above as it is most confusion. From what I am reading, in order to use the 2x or 4x conversion, one must be in certain modes & one must use "jpeg" format, yet, one needs to be in "Motion Picture" mode--------what gives?? And the stabilizer on various lenses?
The first sentence says one can be in scenic, portraiture, scn, mtn. micro modes, but trying to utilize the 2 or 4 doesn't happen
What have you found in order to use either 2x, 4x extender function??

PS: If one does find a way to use the Motion Picture plus jpegs to get a 2x or 4x image which increases pixels--then it almost behooves one not to use this function & just crop tight a raw image instead.
