I just returned from Mallorca this morning.
Here are some first impressions shot with my compact.
The films still need to be developed next week.
So - here are some first greetings.

Actually I have a nice portrait of Rob in pirate look, but I didn't ask for permission to publish yet.

Hey, haven't you seen yourself on the rocks, chatting to your Gitzo and telling your camera where to look? Publish and be happy!

By the way, your sunset worked quite well; I have a couple on the cellphone too, but not yet the patience/time to play with them. I notice the lighthouse has exactly the same colour on your pic as it does on my own cellpix one, and I wonder if that means they share the same sensors? No, don't go there! Enough with camera sensors already! Wish I'd got some (shots) of the little Italians ladies, though... I think I'm getting a cold. Not so sure about the polarizer on digital, having tried it; good on the skies, but the land seems to go deadish and requires a bit of colour correcting and curving. Film certainly had advantages in some respects.

Oh, the +1 stayed off. And my legs feel like they should fall off; but good exercise for them.

Nice meeting you, Chris.

Now I can appreciate what all those girls see in me: no knife in my teeth.

Love the tan!

Rob C

P.S. Here's my cellpix sunset from the same time - give or take a minute or so - as your digi sunset framing.

I just dropped the films at the lab - 9 rolls Velvia, about 12 rolls clor negative film (Ektar, Portra, Superia) and 4 rolls b/w  (TMY and Tri-X).
I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to tomorrow to pick them up and start scanning.

I'm rather partial to #4, but I would be tempted to clone out the birds in the top left corner.

Chris, this is wonderful!

Now I know how it feels to be on Mount Rushmore! You've finally made my tombstone; a print would be nice?

Sure.
I'll make a print for you, but I need to rework it in original size.
I just used the reduced jpegs for it.

Looking at it again I think the sunglasses really make it for me.  Grin
