I thought that artists were supposed to suffer for the sake of art?

Nah, they just suffer because they are (generally) lousy businessmen.

Let's see if I read you well guys.

Lu-La, that has been the temple of the temples of the heaviest-exclusive-expensive photographic gear wants a nex7 format with tiny little lenses?

Yes, you're all nuts! (or you're getting older wich could also be associated to wiseness or... nutsness too)

Mainly nutsness, Fred; we can't help it.

Whatever works to get the shot.  I replaced my Leica gear with an X100.  Best thing I've done in years.  I can't even find the charger for my Aptus 75s.

And I thought to myself -- I don't want all this damn dSLR / dSLT sh** to drag around any more.  I just want a NEX7 and a couple tiny little lenses.

Talk me out of this!

Who am I to say something about others mental state  Grin?

I now carry a micro 4/3 in my pocket a lot for my walking around camera. I still pull out the DSLR for the serious "planned" shooting.

Crazy? No. Lazy? Probably Smiley

It all depends on how seriously you take your photography I guess. After getting up at 3am, driving and hiking for hours for just the chance of getting 'the shot' or location scouting, mood boards, building relationships, getting a team together, model casting walking to a car and walking back with a few kg of gear is nothing. Spending money is the easy bit.

Pfft.  By this standard we all should be lugging around 8x10s.   Grin  Or using Gowlandflexes for the grab shots.

Hi Scott.

Good to see you here on LL.

I just took the "brick" camera with my Sigma 8-16 and Minnie 28-135 for a walk along the Haw River at the canoe launch on US-64.  The laurel are blooming up a storm.  You should scoot over the bridge from Cary and get some pictures. . .
