A few hungry photographers want to join together to sell their prints online. They want to upload their profiles as well as their images to the site. They need a e-commerce site that can handle all these functions with low budget. Any suggestion?

not trying to throw cold water on you or your friends' ideas here but unless the site or business is owned and run by somebody else who independent and has good business acumen, there's a high chance it's gonna crash due to money issues and other factors like uneven sales.
too many similar cases in the past, you're not the first nor will be the last, sorry.   Lips sealed
