It must have been chilly up there though.

The Dales never seem to disappoint – even on the sunny days like you had for this shot! A wonderful moment. Thanks for sharing.

Works very well for me.

W/out your title, I never would have guessed that this was in Britain.

The UK has the most varied geology in the world. Strange but true. Yorkshire's limestone pavements are just part of that rich tapestry.

It's a lovely photo, but I'd like to see more clints & grykes, runnels, pits & pans, than all that blue sky. I'd have moved that horizon line up a bit.

Thanks Mjollnir

yes you wouldnt be the first to mention its unlikely English origins...a few people have thought it was the Australian outback.....yes i can see what you mean and it is a designated site of special scientific interest.

Excellent composition and execution.

It looks as if it would be very easy to break an ankle or leg in that area!

Thanks Justan....Thank you for the positives. You make a very important point about safety from this location....the Yorkshire Dales are generally much less frequented than say the Peak or Lake district's...i didnt see anybody for about 6 hrs on that day, going here with ice/snow you would have to be very careful some of the cracks are about 4/5ft deep with lots of loose rock,if you broke a leg it could be serious....mobile phone coverage is patchy at best.
