This guy has one of the best promotional web sites I have ever seen.
And his work is great.

You click on the images you like, rearrange them if you want, and click Download – at which time you receive a PDF of the images in a neat little promo piece.
Wow.

Those look to be one of the templates from www.aphotofolio.com.
If so, the PDF option os a standard feature

My site:  http://www.marktomalty.com/pdf/

Before clicking, note that I have a lot of galleries so it takes a minute to load fully

I can't stand portfolio websites made with flash, they're so slow and cumbersome. I use http://cargocollective.com myself, it's $66/year.

Slow is arguable, although I would claim that most slow flash websites theses days are so because of the size of the images.
Cumbersome they are certainly not.

In any case, as far as I know, the pdf portfolio is a php script, which should also run from a html website.

Disclaimer: I have a flash website  Wink

The site I posted is not slow or cumbersome - at least not om my computers.

Though I knew that if I posted a site which I admire here, it would get nothing but complaints...

But that is the nature of LL, no?

;-)

(p.s. Martin - I agree.)

No complaints from me, I love the site. I have had html and flash sites before both template and custom and I can honestly say aphotofolio.com is the best by far. It just works, clients love it for the large thumbs and pdf creator and I love it for its consistency and ease of use.
I endorse this product 100%.
