Hello,

I have a number of brand new Genuine Epson 11880 cartridges available for exchange with near empty ones. Most have recently expired dates.

I will trade each of these factory sealed cartridges for 6 near empty genuine Epson 11880 cartridges - they must contain 5% or more ink on the Epson 11880 status window . They can not be completely empty.

Plug these cartridges into the printer and take a picture of the status window as well as of the cartridges outside of the printer and send it to me.

These are the cartridges currently available for trade:

T5912 - CYAN - EXP 02.2012
T5913 - VIVID MAGENTA - EXP 11.2011
T5914 - YELLOW - EXP 05.2012
T5911 - PHOTO BLACK - EXP 11.2011
T5917 - LIGHT BLACK - EXP 03.2012
T5918 - MATTE BLACK - EXP 06.2010

Thank you.

Really?  You're a brand new poster to the board offering FULL cartridges in return for almost empty ones?

How many ways can we spell SCAM?

Yes, really.

This is not a scam, I have several Epson 11880s that I use with specialty inks. I typically purchase gently used Epson 11880s and often they come with additional cartridges (these are the cartridges I am offering for trade).

As I use non-Epson ink, these brand new cartridges are of no use to me. I however do need genuine Epson chips for my refillable cartridges which I can reset from 5% back to 100%.

Hope this helps to explain this awesome deal.

If I was a scammer what would I do with the near empty cartridges? There is no money involved.

Why not just buy a chip resetter?

If this is all legit, then fair enough, but you will understand that as a brand new poster making such an offer without explaining the value to you, it seems very odd.  It still seems odd.

And, yes, there are ways this could be a scam but I am not going to publish details so as to avoid giving any nefarious lurkers any ideas.

Thanks for the suggestion about chip resetter. I have one and use it to reset the cartridges.

The new printers come with 110ml cartridges which are a pain to reset every 110ml. Also the chips sometimes just fail - after 5, 10 or 100 resets. So it's always handy to have a few spare chips on hand.

Also if you need a better explanation of the benefit to me: it appears that Epson will finally discontinue this printer and I expect that they will have some great deals on these so I plan to buy 3 or 4 more printers to use over the next 5 years or so. For that I will need a lot of chips.

Perhaps instead of right away going after me and accusing me of scamming you could ask me for my motives.

If anyone is interested PM to trade some cartridges.
