Mamiya RZ won't connect to new Mac Book Pro

Hello
I hope some one can help me.
I just purchased a Apple Mac Book Pro 13” yesterday as my old Mac Book had had its day in the sun, 7 years was a good innings.
The new Mac is running Mac OS X version 10.7.4.
I updated to Leaf Capture version 11.5.3 so to be up to date.
After I have attached my Mamiya RZ ProIID camera and Leaf Apus75 back to the computer it will not connect. In comes up with the saying that the Firewire cable is not connected.
As I am using the the sync cable from the lens to the back I have be the camera configuration to “Mamiya RZ67” as I have done in the passed over the years.
Cheers
Simon

Simon I would investigate the power supply to the firewire port as it may be insufficient.
There are boosters that can help this issue.
Do a search on the web as this is one example and there may be those that Leaf recommends.

Ditto what ced said,
You need something like the firewire hubs shown here:

In order of likelihood:
1) firewire power
2) firewire power
3) firewire power
4) something else

Hello
Yes it seems like a firewire power issue
BTW I'm assuming you got the 2.9, if I may ask why the 13 and not a quad 15 inch?
Thank you in Advance and good luck.

Hello,
Thanks for all the advice.
I will have a chat with my Mac tech on Monday just to see what they might be able to do at the Mac end.
Arashm I not sure what you meant by 2.9 but the reason I got the 13” to replace my old 13” Mac Book is it fits perfectly in my location kit case. I have no need for the 15” as I will only be using the Mac Book Pro for previewing when I am on location.
The reason I got the new Mac was I have got a new Nikon D800E and I wanted to connect to Phase Capture One which I also purchased for previewing images as my old Mac Book was only 32Bit it wouldn't work with the new software.
The problem I am having with the Leaf back is really not a problem (It just annoying) for me as my Leaf is destined to stay in my studio and not location as the Nikon D800E is far superior for the work I do.
I did my first shot with the Nikon 800E yesterday in Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand and I’m just blown away with the result.
Any way back to processing yesterday's shoot.
Cheers
Simon

Hello,
I bought a 2 meter Firewire 400-800 cable and plugged the Leaf Aptus 75 into my new Mac Pro 13” and it connected without a problem.
So it seems to be the 15 foot Leaf Firewire 400-400 cable with a Belkin 400-800 adaptor is the problem.
Cheers

Hello,
Mike from Photo Warehouse who is the rep for Leaf popped over to my studio with a Leaf 15ft 400-800 Firewire cable and my Leaf 75 is working perfectly with my new 13''Mac Pro.
So problem solved.
Cheers
