The are plenty of these backs with damaged electronics (yes, it can illuminate display with proper info but may not be able to capture an image) - you need to check it on camera! Just to give you real picture, MCR wont help if main board or sensor plate damaged. They simply dont have these spare parts anymore...
As for Kodak back itself - it's masterpiece, nothing comes close in terms of color (even modern digibacks).

Buyer heads up since this is as-is sale:
The most important reason why this needs to be tested or priced accordingly is that it is very common for the firewire board and potentially main board to fry.
I've had a couple of these myself and unless verified you should assume that the firewire port is dead - people plug in/pull out the firewire cable while powered on and this'll kill that port.
If the seller can confirm that everything is working then this is a nice back.

many thanks for all your comments. unfortunately there is no way to confirm its work on the body, but the owner is ready to drop the price to $1350 incl shipping and paypal fee.

Is this back still available? would you consider trade? I have a complete Mamiya RZ67 film system with finders, 4 backs, and 4 lenses and some extras for trade if so. Not digital, but worth more than the $1350 being asked for.
