I'll be in Vegas tomorrow, on short notice, and will have one sunset free and clear. I've never been to either place, but have heard good things about either.
Preferences, anyone, and why?

I agree, Valley of Fire. Much larger and much longer to get to, but many more photo ops. I shot Red Rock last year and got nothing. It is an excellent place to ride a bike however.

Thanks, one and all.
Believe it or not, we made it to both and STILL had time to.....
elope.
Red Rock would require a LOT of good sky to make it work, which didn't happen, and we had a bit of a disaster at VOF, leaving on a short hike far, far too late and breaking at least 4 basic rules of survival.
But, hey, she married me, so it's all good.
