I mean fast focusing, short shutter lag, fast data transfer to card.

I'm liking the new olympus om-d, but is it up to the task?

I think he means, what sort of photography do you want to do with this camera?

I have a GH2, and it's very quick to focus, though not as fast as a full size DSLR. With a fast card, data transfer is reasonably quick. Whether it is fast enough for your purposes depends on what those purposes are. It's not fast enough for sports, of course, but it's decent for portraits and street photography.

Oh well, mainly for street photography, also must have a decent flash . I just don't want to carry with my dslr unless I really need to. Is there any model as fast as an slr?

Many, many people are using m4/3 cameras for street photography.  Browse through Flickr or one of the other photo hosting sites for examples similar to the type you want to shoot.

I think right noe it's the OM-D.  The just about to be announced Panasonic is supposed to be even faster.
