If you just wanted a private folder you should have just said so.  Plenty of tutorials for that out there, easy to do in a couple minutes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egeMClldkEI

OK Im in a hotel on the coast, shooting, no 3g connection, crappy general reception, Im not in the hotel Wifi 'cos Im not a 'guest' and receptionist cant set people up who are not guests, or doesn't know how

I have a reflector board in one hand, camera in the other, Iphone, in the other I am photographing a dish, Ice cream, it is melting.

Todays clients are all around me stressing their asses off

Last weeks client has lost their e-mail and is stressed too 'cos deadline is yesterday and some intern didnt do something and now they are late and someone else is jumping down their neck

If I can find adidas, trainer12 and just read it down the phone to them all will be good

thats real life

You saying my quote 'app required' = bad is dumb ?

I don't see why the client cant be offered a web interface, most of them know how to browse the web, almost.

Not at all...as I become better acquainted with dropbox it seems to meet your needs...you mail a link the customer clicks on it
and voila he or she has the downloaded file without a lot of extras.

More a personal reflection on how I hate to accede stuff to faceless third parties....
