ColorMunki Profiles without having device

I want to make profile for my friend. I have CM patches printed virtually to the pdf. He will print it via adobe reader with color menagement off. Than He will send prints to me, and I will mesure profile
But I think that second part of patches is based on first part mesurement, so this profile could not be 100% correct
Am I right?

Yes, it's a 2+ part process.
1: Print the first target, permit a dry time of 1-4 hrs
2: Read first target, generate the 2nd target
3: Print the 2nd target, repeat the dry time
4: Read the 2nd target, generate the profile
Instead of using 2 letter size sheets of fine paper or canvas do:
Cut the sheet in half, 5.5x8.5, insert in printer sideways__landscape
set the printer to portrait mode, letter size
Set the scale factor to 51% and do steps 1-2
Reinsert the printed target sheet into the printer but flipped 180 degs, do steps 3-4
Use a straightedge ~1/4 thk as guide for careful reading, center the Munki's nose over the row to be read.
I have placed a small strip of tape on the Munki's bottom for a smooth sliding motion.
For further info check my posts and others in DPreview's printer forum
good luck irv weiner

With the CM software, the second page is generated according to the read values from page one. So you are correct with your assumption.
It is possible to use the CM sensor with open source argyll, which doesn't use the iterative process of the original software.

You just generate the targets as tif and let your friend print those without color mangement.
