For some reason, Lightroom is no longer undoing the last step when I click control z. Instead, it opens choose folder. I don't have anything like caps/numbers lock selected. I'm on the latest lightroom, Windows 7 64bit with the latest updates.

This started while working this evening and I can't figure out how to get undo back.

Well, I'm sorry.  A restart of the computer fixed it. I spent too many hours in front of the computer today and just wasn't thinking. Thanks for your reply.
