A very common bird, I know, but I like this set cause the Grey heron (Ardea cinerea) excepted my presence and I could get very close and personal. Great experience.

Very nice. Yes these are common, but also very interesting to watch, particularly if you set up in one location so they get used to a non-moving human. They are amazing fishers, and it is quite amusing to watch them flip a fish caught sideways so the fish will be "in line" with the gullet.

Common name in the US is Great Blue Heron.
