but the time should be now, not April 2013
now if we could just have an up-dated 100-400 and/or 400 f5.6 IS to go with it!

I agree--it will be nice to use my 500 f/4 with a doubler again. And I'd still like to see the ability to set aperture and shutter speed and have the ISO adjust automatically. Also, a frames-per-second rate greater than 6.

I am hoping for a 7D2 with f/8 AF and 12fps....I will keep my old non-IS 400mm f/5.6L for bird-in-flight bliss.
Fortunately, given Canon's record of releases, I will have PLENTY of time to save for the 7D2/70D.
