I probably do not have enough demand, and may not find this in my budget, but here goes. Exploring the equipment I would need to mount my large prints (42" or 44") wide to aluminum or similar. To anyone already doing this, is there any model laminator capable of this in the sub $2,500 price range?

I have 2 Seal laminators both purchased on EBay,an excellent buy if you can find one.
The 44" Ultra has the 3 setting hot roll and was $2500 but only has a 3/8" nip opening.
Which is good for gatorboard to 3/8" and all the Dibond thicknesses.
My other laminator a Seal 62" Base model has a low heat setting and can take material thickness to 2"
This was another EBay purchase that also was right around the same $2500 amount.
Like new and a machine that runs $11,000 new.
The good buys are out there you just may have to wait awhile to find one.
The cold roll machine may be perfect for you. The 25" or 36" manual unit from Drytac may be the machine to get you started.
Gives you a chance to see if this works for you.

Well, after reading really positive reviews from several people who own these, I'm looking at getting one of these USTECH WORF AK models. 55" same price as the 65":
