ipf8300 something's changed

Hi all,
   I've printed dozens of rolls of Moab's Lasal Exhibition Lustre on my ipf8300 and been tremendously happy. Here in the last few days things are looking way too cyan and magenta. The only thing that has changed is an upgrade to lightroom4. Otherwise my workflow remains the same (haven't even changed ink)....I edit to where I want in lightroom, pop it over to CS5, edit more, choose export to ipf8300, select my paper profile and print using perceptual or relative colormetric depending on image. I don't do any color adjusting in the print dialog.
where do I start looking for my problem? I've re-calibrated my monitor and not seen a change. I'm not sure to get back to my wysiwyg workflow that I was so in love with.

My only such experience with the 8300 occurred recently when I realized the prints I had made the sleep-deprived night before were rather green.  A nozzle check showed ALL the magenta nozzles were non functional.  A single quick "Cleaning A" took care of it and it hasn't come back.  Was surprised the printer didn't pick it up, but I was in printing marathon mode so maybe...I dunno.  The first such issue in over 20,000 sq ft.  Have always used the classic Photoshop printing dialogue.

Have you considered a problem with the ribbon cable? if you haven't seen this post, it might be worth considering.

 there's not enough info in your post to elimate many causes. Have you tried a nozzle check? Have you printed from LR 3 again to see if it's OK or PS?
Please let us know what happens. Hope it's something simple!

Have recently installed several of the new 8300/8400 carts, including gray and yellow.  I think I'm seeing a subtle shift towards a warmer rendition, and a teense less density.  Very nice looking prints even so, but possibly a little "different."  Has anybody else seen this with the new carts?

Head checks are perfect, as usual.  I'm back into marathon mode, but will try to run profiles for comparison soon.  Of course I changed most of the D50 fluorescents and the 3400K tube in my trusty Lowell TotaLight at about the same time, but my suspicions are still there.

And for future searchers, the magenta problem I mentioned earlier in this thread was due to an electronic (rather than nozzle-based) problem with the print head itself, which later recurred and required a head change covered by warranty.

It's still the same ink so the new carts shouldn't matter. How long has it been since you ran the hardware calibration?

Made new profiles and the new old profiles fit each other like a glove.  If you look at the same prints too much, you start seeing different things.  I have been stocking a gallery for the Xmas season, where the light comes mainly from fluorescent tubes designed solely to make the fruit look good in supermarkets.  That's probably it.  Don't anybody ever imagine that the world outside their viewing booth is illuminated with Solux bulbs.
