I laughed a lot despite being a DSLR user. Not a Sony one, though.
We're quite funny from the outside, sometimes. Well, most of the times

To true. The DSLR enters the realm of anthropology.
But what else is that is as affordable?

Click the "Sony NEX" link and at the foot of that Sony Australia page you'll see a photo of the SLT-A57 alongside this tag line -- "Want professional quality images and high-speed shooting with continuous shooting up to 10fps?"

Unfortunately it is easily done and no doubt the mobile camera wielding Facebook nerds will have a good laugh as it is the sort of superficiality that tends to amuse them. However, having said that I do detect a slight increase in the realisation amongst consumers that taking a good photo depends upon a little more than possessing the latest gadget that just happens to record images amongst it's many other functions. I doubt that it will be enough to see any great resurgence in the fortunes of professional photography but it's nice to see some respect for the craft returning, unless Sony completely screw it up for all those care about it of course, but why would they want to do that? Mmmmm..................
