How 'bout that...those photos still look just like Ralph Gibson's!   Cheesy  Glad to see he's embraced the New. (Though I hope he still uses some film too.)

Well, the bicycle shot was nice... but any camera would have been just as capable, wouldn't it?

;-)

Most cameras made today are all fully capable of capturing most photographs. The important part is being able to see and matching the right camera for that vision.

I know for me the MM just gets out of the way and lets me create more so than any other digital camera I have used.

I think the microphone shot is amazing.....

I doubt Ralph will ever give up film This I think was a bold step for him especially after reading some of his comments about digital in the past. The new work is killer. He has a very unique vision. Love the way he sees negative space.

I was surprised at the poor quality of this latest work. Not so much the photography but the 'web output'. Proof, if any was needed, that mini jpg's viewed over the internet, at best, serve as a guideline only. I'd reserve any judgement until one sees the printed output.  But I certainly agree with your comments about 'unique vision' and 'negative space'.
