I have been printing from lightroom for a while now.
I use mac OS and epson 3880
I created a custom paper size of 17X28 inches.
Layout style>single image
Image setting>rotate to fit
layout>margins left and right 1.78 inches top 0.25 bottom 0.56 cell size 26H 13.44 W
Print Res360
standard sharpening glossy papetr
color management Exhibition Fibre profile and paper

The printer will print correctly sometimes and then, for no apparant reason, crop the second print from 13.44 to about 12.5. The actual image is cropped(less of image shows)

Any ideas why...getting expensive:(

I wish i could be of help. I use a epson 4900 myself and recently on a show i used a 3880 for printing portraits being taken of persons visiting the booth. With both printers i did not experience issues as you describe.
What you can do is instead of printing to printer is print to file, and see if the resulting jpg image shows the same problem.
Also double check your page set up in the printer interface and the page setup in lightroom.

I had the problem on a 3800.

I assume you are cutting the paper to size?

It is the left side of the print as it emerges from the printer.

Mine would be sometimes as much as 50%.

Is it possible that the paper is not cut square? Or that the initial feed is not square. I think the printer then does not detect the correct width of the paper.

I did contact Epson, and after that I would make sure that the paper was Square.
There is another thread on this on the forum somewhere.

I was using Windows and either Lightroom (18 months ago) or Qimage.

The 3800 suffered from a blocked magenta, and I couldn't be bothered with cutting rolls to length and bought 4900.

Ray,
I came to the same conclusion. The paper was not going in square.
I hate to admit it, but I forgot all about the rear paper guide, and was just hoping I got the paper in right. Sometimes yes, others, not so much.

The rear guide really is helpful in getting the paper in square

Are you using Zoom to fit or Print One as I have had issue with both of these.
