Good B&W Test Patterns

I would like to see some good test patterns so I can endeavour to better profile my workflow. I do B&W with an Epson 3880 printer and will be using two fine art papers.
I have a calibrated screen (iMAC 27" colour Munki display) I have checked and realise that using the Piezography calibration article, my display will show 5 IRE onwards, so not bad a all, however I find this can be inconsistent, not sure why !
I am only using ABW at present and want to see how I can match a viewed grey scale to print, so looking for some helpful test patters, particularly low and high IRE
