Jack Stratton leading Wicked Wanda, Ghost River Valley, Alberta.
The Ghost is located north of Canmore and is only accessible by several hours of interesting adventure driving. The valley is a wild and remote place, known for it's steep limestone walls, beautiful ice, and inhospitable weather. The incredible ice formations on this climb are formed by persistent high winds.

This is a tough shot with a small climber on a large chuck of ice and less than perfect light. The larger I blow it up, the better I like it. I'd say that this would work best as one of a series in which the other shots pull in tighter on the climber and the ice. I know - easier said than done. I'd like to see more.
