Lovely interplay of the blue and yellow, cold and warm, shade and sun. Quite tranquil.

I am sure there will be a debate about the protruding grass on the foreground. Not terribly bothered by it as-is, but just wish to see either more of it or none.

Lovely light and place indeed!
 Personally, I would have had more grass in the foreground and probably made it just a little bit darker, to draw attention to the gorgeous trees.

Thanks for the comments. Sadly, what you see is all there is. I really haven't yet got to grips with using tiny cameras with screens and not having a nice viewfinder to hold to my eye.

I could darken the foreground a little, though, I agree.

I really love the drama in the background. The dark brooding nature of the cloud and snow - that sort of portentous stuff sings to me. I also really like the interplay of warm light on the trees which is well juxtaposed with the background.

I would however exclude the tufts of grass in the foreground that are detracting from the image at present. They cause my eye to dart back and forth and I cant settle on the beautiful color harmony between the warm trees and cool background.

BTW: this image is an excellent example of complimentary colour harmony. Nice work.

It's a beauty, Jeremy. But if there isn't more foreground, I would be very much tempted to "anti-Russ*" it to omit the grassy stuff at the bottom altogether.
