Long caravans of camels gather in the early morning at Lake Assale, a salt lake in Ethiopia's Danakil Depression, to pick up their cargo of salt. They then transport it to markets in the highlands, as they have done for 3000 years. Lake Assale, along with nearby Dallol, is perhaps the hottest place on Earth, based on average annual temperatures, and lies around a hundred metres below sea level.

Wow. Stunning photo. I like the framing of the dromedaries, it's a very dynamic shot.  The sky is perfect with those orange and blue tones. Great texture on the ground also.

Well, it's a winner!
