I really enjoyed the article on Chinese landscape. Beautiful photographs, and an interesting new way of thinking about landscape photography.

I thought it would be interesting for members here to post their own photos that remind them of Chinese landscape painting. I'll start with some that I shot a few years ago at Castle Crags in California.

Nice one Patricia. I ended up examining it for a long time. Is this a close up of rock with a little verglas at the top? I like how my perception of the photo changed as I viewed it.

Philip - I also enjoyed the discussion of classical Chinese Landscapes and have read through the short note several times.  My attempts at using negative space have mostly been duds but I intend to work on it some more.  I kind of wish that you had started this thread over in the landscape discussion where it seems to me that it might get more ongoing development.  Very nice shots by the way!
