I am down in Ecuador at the moment searching far and wide for fun birds to photograph. I refuse to process images from my crappy laptop though so here is one from Bolivia in November.

Seems like a well named species eh?

All the best!

Absolutely and utterly brilliant.

Beautiful pastel tints in the background, the bird well defined and perfectly visible agains the brush and berries/fruits? I very occasionally suspect you from setting up stuffed birds in your backyard and clouding us with field trips to exotic locations.

But then..., the images are still brilliant…

I marvel at your images. We have two red tailed hawks that visit our backyard (juveniles) and I have been trying to photograph them for a week with limited success. You seem to capture the birds in a beautiful pose with amazing colors and expressions. The images are truly outstanding.

The isolation of the bird on the branch is superb and lets us focus on the magnificent Red-crested Cotinga.
