Looking for BASIC info for Speed Lights- Pocket Wizards

Could anyone recommend any sites or diagrams that could help explain explain some basic settings/scenarios/charts for using Speed Lights, specifically for Lumopro, Canon Speedlite 580 EX II, Nikon Speedlight SB-800, Quantum TD5 Q Flash, also any basic info on starting out with Pocketwizard transceiver kits. I know that this is a great deal of equipment, but I'm trying to compile some basic info for students to reference as they are granted access to this gear. Basic kind of jump off settings. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank YOU!!

I will second the Strobist suggestion. Start with the Lighting 101 link on the main page of his site. This is the link I send my students to first. It starts at the very beginning (a good place to start) and will have them shooting multi-light speedlight setups very quickly.
