Backlit egret is very neat! Ran across this fellow one evening in Del Rio Texas. Wolf spider about the size of a golf ball. Click images for larger versions.  Hiding moth at I-20 wildlife preserve in Midland Texas  Tricolored heron with a snack at Brazos Bend State Park (SW of Houston Texas)  |

Velvet with thorns, plus a slick eye surface. Many don't appreciate spider photos, mostly because they are afraid of spiders, but I do like the photos and the subjects.
