Another Sony RX1 review -- lot's of images

This is less of a technical review per se and more of a look at the range of photography that you can do with this camera (Portraits, star trails, etc.).

I found the camera to be an awesome compliment to my medium format and DSLR systems and would love to hear other people's experiences putting this camera to work in different ways.

Thanks for posting your thoughts on the RX-1. I'm glad you posted lots of images, and I love the magnify function on your web site. I agree that it's quite a machine. I, too, have posted some of my thoughts about the camera and how it relates to the NEX-7: http://blog.kasson.com/?p=2584

I've found that, for raw shooting, there's nothing to be gained and a bit of image quality to be lost by turning the ISO setting past 1600; you're better off cranking up the Exposure slider in Lightroom or ACR. Here's a link to my test results: http://blog.kasson.com/?p=2830

It's hard for me to explain the feeling of wonder I get from using such a lightweight, tiny camera that makes such fine images. And it's so darned quiet!

Yet another challenger to my old Leica M2 plus 35 Summicron.  I want one, but wouldn't find it of much use except for parties.  But in 1968 I could have taken over the world with that camera.  I sure used to take a lot of pictures just like that pooch in the parking lot, only really grainy.

Anyway, excellent article intelligently illustrated with images that are insightful to the mojo of the camera itself, versus the inane, random imagery one normally finds in such presentations.
