is there any utility that can export a color list in cxf format i1profiler can actually import as a spot color file for optimization? I've exported text color lists from Colorthink, which as no cxf option, and colorport, which seems to create cxf files i1 can't read...
I can import any of these into PatchTool (but again, not i1), which MAY export what I need... at the cost of purchasing the software.. already purchased a lot of stuff here.. something must work...
Seems like this should be simpler..
but then so does making bacon.

I think we are wrestling with similar issues.
My experience with ColorPort is that it exports in a barely-human-readable .xml file. I've used a text-editor to replace />< with /<>CRLF< to break up the single humongous line to actually see what is in there. Non-standard and ugly .xml, but ....
I think the .cxf files you mention are the default output from a step in i1Profiler, rather than ColorPort, but perhaps I'm confused.
We may not be on the same page. I've been banging my head against the wall with a flacky workflow to integrate ColorPort with PMP5 using an iSis. I'm considering trying to put together a work-flow using ArgyllCms, which by reputation has a difficult learning curve.
I have been able to do "round trips" from i1Profiler 1.4.2 demo to PMP5 to text-editor to ColorPort, but it ain't pretty. If it would be helpful, I can put together the steps I'm fussing with. Perhaps we can get something to work with two-heads-together?

Hello,
Maybe you're looking too far. You can use i1Profiler to measure a custom chart of your number of spot colors, and save it.
