Experimenting with the surf/stones

This is another attempt at something that's a bit abstract. Sometimes when I look at this, it makes my brain hurt  because there is no way that putting something up vertically seems to work for a "looking down" view - at least not one that implies motion such as that from the water.

What do others think?

That's just the problem of knowing too much.

Had I not read your post, I would have thought myself looking at an interesting piece of marble. You have got to be able to divorce your mind from your eye sometimes. Take nature, life, a wall, whatever as your raw material and from it, fashion an independent image.

I think that without explanation, you shot works perfectly all right.

This is an excellent capture, well seen.

Now, if one is after a more abstract interpretation (similar to Rob seeing it as marble), then an 8x10 crop, or even a square, of the leftmost side would work better.

Thanks all for the feedback! I'll go away and have a play with editing to see if there is a better way to crop it.
