Had the chance to spend literally 2 hours in Nikko UNESCO World heritage site Toushogu on Tuesday.

The light was really amazing and I couldn't help capture a few images with the D800 and 85mm f1.4 AF-S. The 1st and 3rd are 200+ mega pixel panos done using a mono-pod.

Nice images, Bernard. I'm finding the same camera/lens combo provides ultimate sharpness in large panos.

Bernard,

Like the crop on #2...but #3 seems too tight. I really wanted to see the edges...and #1 could arguably be a bit tighter. The thingie in the upper left and the light toned wire/string seems to distract. But I really like #2!
