I am using Sigma PP Software version 5.5.1 for PC, under the file option when editing a file, there is an option to export an xml with develop settings of file adjustments, however the export command appears to not work correctly, here is all I see in any attempt at exporting an xml file with various image adjustment settings:

      </Settings>
   </Custom>
</Color>
<BnW>
   <Custom>
      <Settings>
      </Settings>
   </Custom>
</BnW>

Is the export working for others or is this broken?

Using SPP, same version on Win 7 Pro. The XML export seems to work for me. Maybe you should re-download and re-install, possibly un-installing the current version first and re-booting.

You firstly need to save the settings as presets. The function copies your C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\SIGMA\SIGMA PhotoPro5\X3F-Setting.xml to another place.

This worked. Thank you very much uvl. Though, I am wondering and rethinking the value of an xml import/export if I need to first save them as a preset to Sigma Photo Pro.

I was thinking of using the .xml exports as sidecar for processing each photo, but if I need to save them to an internal directory first, the directory will get very big and unmanageable.

What is a good way to save image specific image edits so I can easily recall them for that particular photo or similar photos?

There is a round X3 button at the top of the adjustment user interface. If you click there all your settings are safed into the original x3f-file. No need for sidecars ;-)

The export function comes in if you want to transfer your presets to another computer. You could even share your settings with somebody else. Look at my presets:

            <Color ColorAdjustR="0,000000" ColorAdjustG="0,180000" ColorAdjustB="0,820000"/>
            <FilmGrain State="ON" Size="60" Roughness="60"/>
         </Setting>
      </Settings>
   </Custom>
</BnW>

You can safe this as setting.xml (or use the attached file) and use the import function of SPP. My settings will be appended to your ones.
