Hi all -

Downloaded it, and will try it out later.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iseismometer/id304190739?mt=8

Not a properly conducted scientific comparison, but thought it was interesting...

Phase One AF, 1/60th of a second, MLU; ALPA FPS, 1/60th of a second:

X axis in direction of shooting
Y axis perpendicular to that
Z axis is vertical

HR32 leaf shutter at 1/60th (mounted on FPS)

And finally, 1 second exposure AF with MLU, FPS

(those screenshots also serve as a useful indication as to how utterly crap the battery is in the iPhone 5!)

This is interesting, thank you for sharing. How did you connect the phone to the camera/lens for the tests?

AF - balanced it on the top of the camera.
FPS - balanced it on the top of the digital back.

(like I said - perhaps not very scientific!)

Use the app myself for giggles. Remarkably sensitive. Alarm function can be fun.
