Does anyone know what dealers sell the Linhof Techno camera in the U.S.?
I have found one dealer in the U.K., but wanted to consider a closer purchase.
Also, are there any shops that could mount lenses onto Linhof lensboards?

Thanks,

John

My experience has been that Linhof Studio's prices are better than the US dealer's prices and, if you buy enough, freight may be zeroed.

I second what Roger has said. US prices are way too steep and Paula at Linhof Studio is brilliant. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Bear Images had one a while back. Linhof & Studio is a fine operation as well. Paula is great.

The best way to know if a dealer is good is to get a complicated problem with a purchased product and then see how they resolve it.

As I've not had any problems, except for a mirrored infinity stop (I got a new one for free), I can't say how Linhof Studio can help then, but in all my dealings with them I've got nothing but excellent service, and they do seem very knowledgeable. Most Techno users I've stumbled into have bought their gear there, which means that they probably have sold many systems and have good experience with it and probably helped with support issues. I've bought most of my components second hand, but the new parts to my Techno system I've got from Linhof Studio. For these type of products I rather employ an expert dealer abroad than use a local dealer with limited experience of the system.

Paula is great and will get back to you in detail Bear Images takes weeks to respond and won't engage!

I've had a few instances where I've needed gear serviced or problems solved and Paula has always been very efficient, knowledgeable and patient. When I bought my Techno kit, she even loaned me lenses to use while the ones I ordered came off backorder. That's exceptional service, especially considering I live on the opposite side of the world.
