What I want to do is:

1 - Visually select images

2 - Drag and drop into slide show in an arbitrary order and be able to add at any at any point

3 - Not be constrained to filename/date order, or to adding at end and having to move the slide

4 - Have no transitions, or weird ‘camera’ movements automatically added.

5 - Show the result on a TV with each slide staying displayed until clicked on to advance (though can live with timed display if all the other requirements met)

You know, like sorting your slides on a lightbox, loading a carousel, and showing them with a projector: a slide show (vs a ‘multimedia experience’)

Have tried Roxio DVD creator, ACDsee, ThumbsPlus, PhotoStory, Digital PhotoShop, Adobe Premier, PS-CS, ImageMagic and not one of them will do this.

Is there a program that you know of that will?

Oh yes, am using WXP

Thanks Hermie,

I'll give it a try.

I just added "PicturesToExe" (which also outputs AVIs - sort of) to the DOES NOT WORK how I need pile (Only one dir open at a time, no support for D&D from explorer windows, or even between multiple instances of PTE, BIZARRE AVI creation as a temporary file only).
