Hi Im new here and to digitial cameras.
Can anyone please advise on the most appropraite setting for my 300D
I need to take some "quality" photographs for display. I use photoshop for editing but don't want to over do or alter too much.

You typically have to sharpen DSLR images in post processing.
Step up the saturation.

Thank you for taking the time to help "DP". I must say that there has been a considerable improvement since taking your advice.
I'm a guy who hasn't got a lot of spare time to "work" 24/7 on the computer so "input" like yours is very important to me.
Hope you had a good Christmas,
Thanks again.

You can also consult the numerous tutorials on this site. [a href=\"http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast-enhancement.shtml]Local Contrast Enhancement[/url] may be helpful. Don't be too intimidated...

Here is canon's site on DSLR photography...

The key thing is just go through the settings one by one. Start at the base and work from there. Much easier to see how the parameter controls work when used one at a time.
