Epson 2100 profiles

hi everyone,
yes I am a newbie!!!!  

I recently obtained an Epson 2100 printer. What I am try to find out is whether the Epson 2200 drivers and ICC profiles from the epson website can be used with the 2100.

I've been told by some they are the same printer and by others that you can't use 2200 versions.

any assistance would be appreciated thanks.

Yes, the Erson 2200 icc profiles work perfectly on the 2100 and are even better than the 2100 icc profiles. That is the setup I'am using.

Yes, the 2100 and 2200 are the same hardware and use the same inks so what applies to the 2200 is also valid for the 2100.

If the 2100 driver and profiles are available at the Epson site (UK?), why would you want to use those for the 2200?

They are not the same. I believe that Epson USA had made new improved profiles. Since they are free you can dowload them and see if they are "better" than the European versions.
