Never Mind.. problem is some kind of computer conflict. I rebooted and only ran PSCS2. Everthing works like it's supposed to. After reboot I can see selections move while dragging. Don't know yet what the conflict is.

I can’t see my Patch Tool Selection ‘drag move’?
What am I doing wrong? Or, do I have a setting screwed up?

1) I select the patch tool
2) Drag to select an area I want to patch, release mouse
3) Ensure/select ‘source’ in tool bar to identify the selected area to patch
4) Put cursor inside selection, push mouse button and DRAG to sample area (i.e., patch source from this new area)

I don’t see my selection move when I drag to the new area..? Although, it seems to “patch” just like it’s supposed to. Any help appreciated?

Experimenting...... I don't see my selection move with the Move Tool either? But the selection does move... because when I release the mouse I get the desired effect?

I wonder if it's a Windows XP thing? Although everything seems to be fine. I only know there was a time when I could see my selection move while dragging.

I have the same problem sometimes with my brush disappearing. No matter what size I am using I just get the center crosshairs. Reboot and it's fine. I'm guessing it's a Windows thing.

Try toggling your "Caps Lock" key.

My O/S is Windows XP and these tools work the way they should. Your problem is specific, not generic. Jack's reco is aimed at the most likely source of the issue. If the problem goes away when you reboot, that too is evidence of some non-sticky setting interfering with the proper functioning of these brushes.
