Florida Chairs ‹ Palm Beach, 2001
Photographed with a Leica M6 and 35mm f/1.4 Summilux lens on Fuji Sensia 100
This is an emotional image for me as it was the first photograph that I took after the the attack on the World Trade Center in September, 2001. You can read my thoughts from that time in a brief item called In Memoriam. Notwithstanding the emotional context it works as a graphic image.

Salt Flats Death Valley, 1998
This is a straight landscape photograph of the salt flats looking downwards from Dante's View in Death Valley, CA. Many times features of the landscape become abstractions through visual isolation.
Photographed with Rollei 6008 and Schneider 90mm f/4 lens on Provia 100

A walk through a ravine park one spring lead me to this orange snow fence and created a haunting abstract. The shallow depth of field helps create an air of mystery about the image.
Taken with a Nikon F4 and 60mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor

Not landscapes per-se; not really any form of "art" just amusing in their own right.
AND
Upstate New York, 1995
Driving through a heavily forested area of upstate New York I came across this deserted crane and sign. It didn't appear as if anyone had paid attention to it in years. The question always haunts me and what?
Taken with a Mamiya 645 and 150mm lens

Magic Ticket Booth Rural Ontario, 1996
An empty fair-ground parking lot and a lone magic ticket booth. How sad.
Taken with a Nikon F4 and 85mm f/1.8 lens on Provia 100

Roman Gargoyle & Pigeon Rome, 1997
A year or so ago a shot almost identical to this won a prize in a major photo magazine contest. Probably 1000 tourists a day take photos similar to this one in Rome's Pantheon Square. Still a good chuckle.
Photographed with a Leica M6 and 90mm f/2.8 Summicron

Little Red Apples Atlanta, 2000
On a walk through Atlanta's Botanical Gardens in September we came across a fountain filled with apples, left over from the previous evening's fair. Apple bobbing anyone?
Photographed with a Hasselblad XPan and 30mm lens on Fuji Provia 100F

Giraffe ‹ Toronto Zoo, 2000
On a couple of shoots at the Toronto zoo I found myself fascinated by the giraffes. Along with several straight photographs I found this one in my out-takes. The juxtaposition of skinny tree trunks and the giraffe's neck makes me smile.
Photographed with a Canon D30 and 300mm f/2.8L IS lens
