The violet aster is one of the many dozen species of alpine wildflowers found in the Wind River Range. The wildflowers typically start blooming on mid June and continue through out the summer. The above picture was taken in late July. The photo above was taken at a equivalent focal length of 35mm on a full frame 35mm camera.
TIMES
Anytime on a cloudy day is the best time for this shot. If clouds are not present a diffuser is recommended to soften the light. The shot above was taken at the equivalent of a 70mm focal length lens on a full frame camera.
