Alain Briot is one of the most successful landscape photographers workingin the U.S. today. He was educated at the Ecole des Beaux Art in Paris,has a Masters degree in Fine Art, and is currently working on his Phd.

This article is the second in a series of nine essays focused on the aesthetic aspects of photography. The overall goal of this series is to help you create a photograph which is aesthetically pleasing: a beautiful photograph.

This series of essays is related to my (2003-2004)Workshop Series.
